i would like to set up a website for tech news especially apple. Something like engadget etc. I would also like to have a kind of place like a forum where people can upload tech news to the website after i accept it. Any help on how to get started with this would be good :) i dont have any programming experience.

I have been trying to get Ubuntu to connect to the internet. I have used a variety of websites, and nothing has worked. I have Ubuntu installed inside of Windows 7, and Win 7 works fine on the internet. How can I make Ubuntu connect to my wireless router?

This is where I downloaded my Ubuntu from. I don’t think it is any special type, just generic Ubuntu. If there is a different version of Ubuntu that works better with wireless cards, and can be installed inside Windows, I would appreciate a link.

I used to have windows and ubuntu installed on separate partitions where I had grub and I could choose the os. Now after I reinstalled windows, grub doesn’t come up anymore. I still have ubuntu on the other partition. Is there any way to choose the partition I boot from or reactivate grub/edit boot partition?

I currently have 3 operating systems installed on my computer:
Ubuntu 9.10
Windows Vista Home Premium
Ubuntu 8.04

I would like to remove the Ubuntu 8.04 partition and use the space for my Vista partition. Does anyone know how to do this?

I have ubuntu netbook remix installed and I love it. However I miss some features from Ubuntu Desktop sometimes especially workspaces.

Is there a quick and easy way for me to switch from the UNR interface to the Classic interface?

I have installed Ubuntu Server 8 and when i start my pc it brings me the command prompt. I have downloaded and installed Ubuntu desktop. From there I have done 77 updates! All went successfully!
Now when I start my PC it will load the desktop automatically. How can I restore it to bring me the command prompt first and if i want the desktop start it manually using “startx”?
Please help! Thx.

I have a Dell Insipron laptop with windows vista. I used “wubi” to install Ubuntu onto my computer but it installed it in windows. I want Ubuntu to have its own partition and not be in windows. I have already set up a new partition but i dont know how to move my ubuntu to it. Should I just use windows explorer to transfer the ubuntu folder to the new partition or is there a procedure for it?
